Whiplash is so named for a reason; it’s a condition caused by the rapid and violent back-and-forth snapping motion of the head, like the crack of a whip. Though most- associated with rear-end collisions, this kind of neck sprain also can result from sports or other injuries. Symptoms include neck pain and stiffness, limited range of motion, headaches, and even dizziness.
Treatments We Provide
Whiplash damages soft tissue in the neck. We provide effective treatment through deep-tissue massage; the application of hot or cold therapy–the former to promote relaxation, the latter to reduce inflammation; ultrasound to help with spasms, cramping, stiffness, and pain; and a variety of exercises designed to improve strength and range of motion.
