DESCRIPTION:

Advanced Care Physical Therapy is dedicated to delivering a best-in class experience during every patient interaction. With a hands-on manual approach to relieve pain, promote healing, increase athletic performance and prevent future injury, we specialize in physical therapy services, scoliosis care and working with athletes to improve performance both on and off the playing field. We are actively seeking a Staff Physical Therapist to join our team.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide quality care to patients by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results; determine physical therapy treatment plans.
• Instruct, encourage, and assist patients in performing evidence-based exercise programs.
• Administer physical therapy treatments by providing manual therapy treatment and modalities as needed.
• Direct treatments given by assistants and students.
• Evaluate the effects of physical therapy treatments by observing, noting, and evaluating patient’s progress; recommend adjustments and modifications.
• Assure continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs.
• Document patient care services by charting in patient records.

EDUCATION & TRAINING:

• A valid New York physical therapy license and registration or eligibility for NYS licensure.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
• Experience working in an outpatient orthopedic practice preferred.
