We are committed to helping patients restore function, reduce pain, improve mobility, and achieve a better quality of life in a supportive and professional environment.

Our culture is built around four core values:

  • Hardworking
  • Growth-Oriented
  • Personalized Care
  • Team Player

We believe exceptional patient outcomes come from combining evidence-based clinical care with compassionate service, teamwork, professional development, and an individualized approach to every patient.

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Staff Physical Therapist to join our team. Whether you are an experienced clinician or a new graduate looking to develop your skills, Advanced Care Physical Therapy provides an opportunity to grow professionally while working alongside an experienced and collaborative clinical team.

Position Overview

As a Staff Physical Therapist, you will evaluate and treat patients with a variety of orthopedic, musculoskeletal, neurological, balance, and post-surgical conditions in an outpatient setting.

You will develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s clinical presentation, functional limitations, and personal goals. Treatment may incorporate manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, balance and gait training, vestibular rehabilitation, strengthening, and other evidence-based interventions.

Our therapists are encouraged to provide hands-on, patient-centered care while continuously developing their clinical skills and contributing to a positive, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and assessments to identify impairments, functional limitations, and patient goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Treat a diverse outpatient population, including patients with musculoskeletal injuries, orthopedic conditions, post-surgical rehabilitation needs, chronic pain, gait and balance deficits, and other functional limitations.
  • Provide hands-on treatment, including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, stretching, strengthening, and appropriate modalities.
  • Incorporate progressive functional and strength-based rehabilitation to help patients return to work, recreation, sports, and activities of daily living.
  • Provide gait and balance training and, when appropriate, vestibular rehabilitation for patients experiencing dizziness, headaches, balance deficits, or related conditions.
  • Educate patients regarding their condition, treatment plan, home exercise program, injury prevention, and strategies for maintaining long-term functional improvement.
  • Regularly assess patient progress and modify treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient response.
  • Collaborate with fellow physical therapists, support staff, physicians, referral sources, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete patient documentation in accordance with clinic policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a positive and supportive clinical environment and actively contribute as a team player.
  • Participate in team meetings, continuing education, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
  • Stay current with evidence-based practices, emerging treatment techniques, and developments within the physical therapy profession.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, clinical excellence, accountability, and exceptional patient service.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy, Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy, or other qualifying Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program.
  • Current New York State Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain New York State licensure.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and an interest in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation.
  • Knowledge of manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and evidence-based rehabilitation techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced, team-oriented clinical environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality of care.
  • Hardworking, dependable, motivated, and committed to professional growth.
  • Commitment to providing individualized, compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • Previous outpatient orthopedic experience is preferred but not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience or interest in vestibular rehabilitation, gait and balance training, manual therapy, post-operative rehabilitation, and progressive strength training is a plus.
